UTSA/Texas State football game fan information

SAN ANTONIO —UTSA released the following information for fans planning to attend the H-E-B I-35 Showdown against Texas State at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Alamodome. 

STRIPE OUT
Saturday's game against Texas State has been designated as Stripe Out. Fans should wear the following colors based on their seat location:
• Blue: Sections 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142, 144
• Orange: Sections 101, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115, 117, 119, 121, 122-131 (UTSA students), 133, 135, 137, 139, 141, 143, all 200 level sections

TRAFFIC
Heavy traffic congestion is anticipated in the Alamodome and downtown areas. Fans are strongly advised to plan to arrive at least one (1) hour prior to game time. 

PARKING
Parking in Alamodome Lots A, B and C is limited to fans who already have purchased permits. Spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis to those with valid passes for those lots. A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Alamodome Lots A, B and C will open at 8 a.m. for those who have valid parking passes. Please do NOT enter the lots prior to 8 a.m. or staff will ask you to vacate your spot(s) and re-enter once the lots are open. 

Paid parking is available in parking lot next to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at the corner of Montana Street and Tower of Americas Way. There are numerous other city and private parking areas close to the Alamodome that also sell parking on game days. Check with the lot owner about their tailgating rules.

UTSA students, faculty and staff may park in any unmarked spaces with a valid UTSA parking permit on Saturdays at the Downtown Campus under I-35.

TRANSPORTATION
Beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, VIA will offer Park-and-Ride service from three (3) convenient locations:
• UTSA Main Campus — Park in Tobin Avenue Garage for free (UTSA Main Campus Map)
• Crossroads Park & Ride (151 Crossroads Boulevard)
• Madla Transit Center (1584 Cantrell Drive)

Return service will run for one hour following the end of the game.

Park & Ride Service is $2.50 each way with discounts for $1.25 each way available for children ages 5-11 as well as senior citizens 62 and older, Medicare recipients, persons with disabilities and students with a valid VIA ID. VIAtrans customers and children ages four and under ride free. VIA monthly passes are not valid for this service.

UTSA students with a valid ID may purchase tokens at a rate of $1.25 each way ($2.50 round trip). Students may ride a free shuttle to the Alamodome between 1-3 p.m. ONLY, which leaves from in front of Laurel Village. A token is required for the return trip.

In addition to Park & Ride Service, VIA Primo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Center at the Alamodome, beginning at 3:30 p.m. and continuing for one hour after the conclusion of the game. Fare is $1.30 (.65 for students) each way.

Tickets can be purchased in advance using VIA's goMobile app. Tickets also are available at the Student Union on the UTSA Main Campus or any VIA Information Center. Park & Ride tokens also can be purchased (cash or credit card) on game day at the kiosk at each Park & Ride location.

RIDESHARE 
The drop-off and pick-up location for rideshare users is located in the parking lot next to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at the corner of Montana Street and Tower of Americas Way.

TICKETS
Tickets are available and may be purchased by calling 210-458-UTSA (8872) or by visiting http://goUTSA.com/tickets. The Alamodome Box Office will open at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. General UTSA Will Call is located at the North East Box Office. The customer service window to aid UTSA student or season ticket holders with ticketing issues will be at the South East and North East box offices. 

SECURITY PROCEDURES/CLEAR BAG POLICY
UTSA is committed to ensuring a safe and enjoyable fan experience. The university works closely with the City of San Antonio, the San Antonio Police Department and other law enforcement agencies to provide a safe and secure environment at the Alamodome for UTSA home games. 

The Alamodome has implemented a Clear Bag Policy that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into the Alamodome. Without exception, ALL BAGS will be screened prior to event entry, including medically necessary and diaper bags. ALL BAGS that do not meet the Clear Bag Policy specifications, must be returned to your vehicle or discarded. Fans are strongly encouraged to allow additional time for entry into the facility. ALAMODOME ENTRY
Doors will open to the public at 4:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats for the pregame festivities on the field featuring the Spirit of San Antonio Marching Band beginning at approximately 5:45 p.m. The Alamodome is introducing countdown to kickoff alerts in the parking lots in the hour leading up to game. The security team will visit the parking lots to sound an air horn at one hour, 30 minutes and 15 minutes prior to kickoff to help remind fans to begin heading to the Alamodome. 

GAME DAY EXPERIENCE
• The Spirit Walk will take place at approximately 4 p.m. The UTSA football team will walk from Cherry Street east of the Alamodome down a path between Lots B and C and to the south end of the facility. Fans can look for orange smoke in this area to know when it's time for Spirit Walk.

• Rowdy Town opens at 3 p.m. in H-E-B Plaza on the north side of the Alamodome. Fans can enjoy numerous activities, including:
-       H-E-B football skills interactives and free food sampling
-       DJ Fuzion courtesy of Bud Light
-       Six Flags Fiesta Texas Zombie characters onsite promoting Fright Fest
-       Six Flags Fiesta Texas will give away 5,000 free kids tickets to fans after the game
-       Palenque Grill free samples of chips and queso
-       Activations and prizes from Raising Cane's, Sport Clips, Gold Financial and South Texas Ford Dealers
-       Rowdy Runners Kids Club membership information table

• UTSA will hold a food drive sponsored by Whataburger prior to the game. Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods or non-perishable food items to donation bins that will be located in H-E-B Plaza. Monetary donations also are encouraged and accepted. All donations will be given to the San Antonio Food Bank. Anyone who donates a minimum of two canned goods or non-perishable items will receive one coupon for a free Whataburger (while supplies last).

• Get Rowdy with alumni, friends and fans at the UTSA Alumni Association Roadrunner Nation tailgate at 3 p.m. at the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. Rain or shine, this location offers a shaded party area, food, beverages and interior restroom facilities, all close to the Alamodome. Admission is free to all UTSA Alumni Association members and for children 16 and under, and it is $25 for non-members. For more information, please visit https://alumni.utsa.edu/RoadrunnerNation.

• Fans can buy the latest UTSA apparel and accessories from Rowdy Campus Store, which will be set up in H-E-B Plaza. Merchandise sales counters are also located inside the Alamodome on the Plaza and Club Level concourses. 

• Additional concessions operations have been opened including mixed beverage locations on each open level of the Alamodome. Alcoholic beverages can be carried between levels.

• A customer service text messaging system will be available throughout the UTSA football season. Customers who encounter difficulties with unruly fans or facilities maintenance issues may text 69050 to request immediate assistance from the Alamodome staff. All assistance texts must begin with the word "Alamo" and must include the type of request (i.e., spill or unruly fan) along with the Section, Row and Seat Number of the person requesting assistance.
