BILOXI, Miss. – UTSA's elimination game against Charlotte in the Conference USA Championship has been postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams will play at 9 a.m. Saturday at MGM Park.
The game originally was scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m., but several lightning delays throughout the day pushed it back to nearly 11 p.m. Following the conclusion of the Florida Atlantic/Louisiana Tech contest, rain began to fall, which forced the tarp on to the field. The game was postponed shorty after.
UTSA will give the ball to right-hander Nathan Alexander (3-1) on Saturday morning. The 49ers are expected to counter with righty Matt Brooks (3-7).
The winner will advance to play No. 11 Southern Miss at approximately 4 p.m. Saturday.
