SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team will close out its regular season schedule on Thursday in a road non-conference match against UT Arlington. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the UTA Tennis Center in Arlington.
Thursday's match is a makeup of the March 28 contest that was postponed due to inclement weather.
The Roadrunners (8-10) have won three of their last four outings, including back-to-back tilts against UTEP and Louisiana Tech.
UTSA started its last home weekend with a 4-1 victory over the Miners and then downed the Lady Techsters, 4-2, on Sunday.
Laura Cabrera has won five consecutive singles matches to lead the Roadrunners with a 14-4 overall mark. The Barcelona, Spain, native also has paired up with Sonia Madroñal for a team-best seven victories on the doubles courts.
Charleen Tiwari boasts a 10-7 record in singles action, while Denisa Ibrahimovic has evened her singles mark at 7-7 following three consecutive wins.
The Mavericks (10-7) have won four of their last five matches, including back-to-back Sun Belt Conference victories against Louisiana-Lafayette and Texas State.
