SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will travel to the Metroplex for the Bruzzy Challenge, which will be held on Monday-Tuesday, April 2-3, at Maridoe Golf Club (par 72/6,335 yards) in Carrollton, Texas.
The Roadrunners will compete against Boston College, No. 42 BYU, No. 26 Houston, Iowa, No. 34 Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri, North Texas, No. 49 San Diego State, SMU, TCU, No. 38 Texas A&M, Texas State, No. 50 Texas Tech and UT Arlington. The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final round is scheduled for Tuesday. Live scoring will be provided at golfstat.com.
UTSA is coming off a sixth-place showing at the LSU Tiger Classic on March 23-25 in Baton Rouge, La. Julie Houston tied for third place with a 221 (75-73-73), her second straight top-five finish and the sixth of her career. Ana Gonzalez tied for 16th with a 231 (81-77-73).
