SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team snapped a four-match losing streak on Sunday, as the Roadrunners posted a 4-0 victory over I-35 rival Texas State at the UTSA Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners (4-6) won the doubles point and picked up three victories in singles action to compete the sweep.
Laura Cabrera netted a come-from-behind, three-set win (3-6, 6-2, 6-1) over Rishona Israel-Lewis at the second flight.
Charleen Tiwari was a 6-3, 6-2 winner against Alex Jones at the fourth position, while Kylee Kato registered a 7-5, 6-2 triumph at the fifth spot.
UTSA is scheduled to return to action next weekend in a pair of matches in Mobile, Alabama. The Roadrunners will play Troy on Saturday, March 11, and South Alabama a day later.
