Prince earns C-USA Track Athlete of the Week plaudit

San Antonio, Texas – UTSA junior Patrick Prince has been named the Conference USA Track & Field Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 18, the league office announced Tuesday.
 
Prince opened the 2018 outdoor track & field season at the UTSA Invitational with a win and the 110m hurdles, clocking a personal-best 13.79. The mark is the fastest in the NCAA to this point in the season and ranks as the second-quickest in the UTSA record books. In addition to his victory in the 110m hurdles, the Conroe, Texas, native also placed fifth in the 100m with a time of 10.78.
 
Prince totaled 14 points in helping the Roadrunners to the team victory at the UTSA Invitational. UTSA totaled 181 points, besting second-place Purdue by 21 points and third-place Texas Tech by 50 points.
