Five Roadrunners drove in seven runs across seven innings to snap a three-game winning streak for Bowling Green and claim a 7-3 victory for UTSA in the first game of the Jeanne McHaney Memorial Classic.

The Roadrunners jumped on the Falcons in the first inning when Baldwin and Ashlynn Walls drove in runs. UTSA's first at-bat commenced when Celeste Loughman drew a leadoff single. Baldwin followed with a double to right center to drive in Loughman. Walls then connected on a hard hit up the middle that plated Baldwin from second for a 2-0 UTSA advantage.

Two more runs crossed the dish when Bowling Green's pitcher Kiley Sosby loaded the bases with three-consecutive walks. Sosby walked Hailey Garza pushing UTSA's lead to 3-0 before being replaced by Madison French in the circle. French walked Abigail Haston for one more UTSA run before ending of the inning.

The Roadrunners picked up their fifth run in the sixth as Baldwin blasted a home run over the left center fence. Kylea Nix and Garza cushioned UTSA's lead with an RBI single and  a RBI double, respectively.

With UTSA leading 7-0 heading into the final frame, Bowling Green capitalized off a UTSA wild pitch and fielding error to put up three runs. The Roadrunners collected the final outs on two fly balls to win the game, 7-3

Senior Lizzy Fox made her eighth start of the season, hurling seven complete frames and striking out two. Bowling Green saw help from three pitchers, who combined for 12 hits and nine walks.

With the score tied at zero through the first inning, New Mexico drove in the first run in the bottom of the second, but UTSA responded with three of their own in the top of the fifth.

Nix walked to first and Loughman singled on a bunt. Baldwin then hammered out her ninth home run of the season, giving UTSA a 3-1 edge.

The Lobos made a threat in the bottom of the seventh after Cameryn O'Grady double down the right field line. Teammate Chelesea Johnson drove her in with a single to right center, putting the score at 3-2. Baldwin threw out the Johnson at second base to end the threat.

Freshman Madison Nelson (3-2) got the nod in the circle, throwing seven complete frames and striking out one batter. Nelson allowed eight hits but did not relinquish a walk.
