UTSA, Southern Miss cancel series finale due to rain

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - A two-and-a-half-hour rain delay led to the cancellation of Sunday's Conference USA series finale between UTSA and No. 15 Southern Miss.

The Roadrunners (7-10, 0-2 C-USA) held a 4-1 lead in the top of the second inning when rain forced the delay at Pete Taylor Park. The game was canceled at 1:05 p.m. and will not be made up this season.

UTSA will return to San Antonio to open a four-game home stand on Tuesday, March 20 against Texas State. The Roadrunners then will welcome Marshall to the Bird Bath for a three-game set.
