UTSA to open four-game home stand on Wednesday

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team will open a four-game home stand on Wednesday at the UTSA Tennis Center. The Roadrunners will match up against Lamar at 10 a.m. before turning around to host New Mexico at 1 p.m. the following day.
UTSA (4-7) is looking to bounce back from its 4-2 loss at Troy. Ivana Ilic and Charleen Tiwari earned the only two points for the Birds with wins in singles competition.

Laura Cabrera leads the Roadrunners in singles play with an 8-3 record this spring. Tiwari is right behind her with a 7-4 mark

The duo of Ilic and Tiwari has accumulated four victories to pace the doubles pairings.

The Cardinals (2-7) have dropped back-to-back matches, both in Southland Conference action, including a 5-2 setback against Abilene Christian on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Lobos (2-5) also are looking to get back on track following two consecutive defeats. BYU handed New Mexico a 7-0 loss last Friday in Albuquerque.
