SAN ANTONIO – UTSA will make the second stop on its current five-match road trip on Saturday, Feb. 10, as the Roadrunners travel to Edinburg to face UTRGV. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
UTSA (3-1) is coming off a split last weekend at home. The Roadrunners dropped their first match in a 6-1 setback to Sam Houston State last Saturday. However, they were able to bounce back the next day with a 4-3 win over Incarnate Word.
Laura Cabrera continues to pace the club with her 4-0 record in dual-match singles play this spring. Meanwhile, Sonia Madroñal and Charleen Tiwari are right behind her as they both hold a 3-1 record in singles competition.
SCOUTING UTRGV
UTRGV (2-4) was shut out by TCU with a score of 4-0 on Sunday after a 4-1 loss last Friday to UT Arlington. UTRGV also swept by both Texas A&M and No. 12 Texas before posting back-to-back shutout victories against Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M-Kingsville. Dominique Ibarra leads the team with a 3-1 record in singles play.
LAST MEETING WITH UTRGV
The last time these two squads met was on February 12, 2017 in San Antonio. The Roadrunners posted a 7-0 triumph, with one point being collected in doubles play and six in singles action.

UTSA will continue its road swing with a stop in New Orleans to match up with Tulane on Friday, Feb. 16.
