SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's tennis team will resume its spring season on Friday, as the Roadrunners face off with Eastern Michigan. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center.
UTSA (3-5) is looking to snap a four-match losing streak. The Roadrunners returned from a road swing through Louisiana last weekend after dropping three consecutive matches to Tulane, McNeese State and Northwestern State.
In the 5-2 loss to the Lady Demons on Sunday, Denisa Ibrahimovic and Charleen Tiwari gained points for the Birds.
Laura Cabrera saw her winning streak in singles play come to an end in the same match, as she suffered a three-set setback, dropping her record to 7-1 on the season.
The Eagles (7-3) started a swing through the Lone Star State earlier this week. Eastern Michigan defeated Incarnate Word, 6-0, on Tuesday, and Texas State, 4-3, a day later. The Eagles also collected a 4-3 win at Lamar on Thursday.
EMU will match up with Division III Trinity at 2 p.m. Friday before heading across town to play UTSA.
