NEW ORLEANS – The UTSA women's tennis team suffered a 6-1 setback at the hands of Tulane on Friday at the City Park Pepsi Tennis Center.
The Roadrunners (3-3) picked up their lone point in singles play, as Laura Cabrera remained unbeaten. The Barcelona, Spain, native improved to 6-0 on the season, as she netted a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win.
Charleen Tiwari also went the full length, but was outlasted at the third spot by Ivone Alvaro (6-3, 3-6, 1-0 [11-9]).
UTSA will return to action on Saturday, as the squad moves over to Lake Charles, La., for an 11 a.m. matchup against McNeese State.
