SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA indoor track & field program continues its 2018 season on Friday and Saturday (Jan. 26-27) at the Houston Invitational at the Cougars' Yeoman Fieldhouse.
The event
Field events on the first day of the Houston Invitational begin at 10 a.m., with the women's weight throw, while the women's pentathlon kicks off at noon and the men's heptathlon follows at 12:30 p.m. Running events on Friday begin with the 400-meter section B finals at 4:30 p.m.
On Saturday, action gets underway with the women's shot put at 9 a.m., and the completion of the men's heptathlon is set to start at 10 a.m. The final day of running action opens with the semifinals of the 60-meter hurdles at noon and rolls through the women's and men's 4x400-meter relay at 5:15 p.m.

Representing the Roadrunners
The UTSA women field 24 total entries and the men 29. Both genders will field two distance medley relay teams. A team-high five Roadrunner women will toe the line for the 800m, while a team-high five men will compete in the 60m hurdles.
Roadrunners in the C-USA rankings
Thirty-six UTSA student-athletes currently rank in the Conference USA top-10 in individual events. Vasha Sheriff is second in the 200m with a time of 47.18 and Patrick Prince holds the second spot in the 60m hurdles with a 7.99 (converted from altitude) clip. Victoria Rausch is the top ranked UTSA women with the second position in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.59. In the field events, Adrian Riley is second in the long jump with a cleared distance of 7.47m.
The women's distance medley relay team of Amber Boyd, Christy Gilbert, Stephanie Sauceda and Colleen Gilbert leads the league with a time of 12:23.62, set at the Ted Nelson Invitational on Jan. 13.
