Quoting UTSA director of track & field Aaron Fox
"It has been roughly nine years since we have competed at an indoor meet at Texas Tech. However, with them opening their new facility, we felt the time was right to go back to Lubbock. We are excited to go compete on a very fast surface and this is a great opportunity for our student-athletes from west Texas to compete in front of their friends and families."

Roadrunners to watch
Fresh off a career-best 7.47m long jump in the season-opener and C-USA Male Field Athlete of the Week honor, Adrian Riley will look to improve on his No. 15 national ranking. Another field athlete to watch is newcomer Lacee Barnes, who set the Cayman Islands national shot put record with a hurl of 14.20m last weekend.

On the track, juniors Patrick Prince and Victoria Rausch both advanced to the finals in the 60m hurdles in the season-opening Ted Nelson Invitational. Currently, Prince's time of 8.05 and Rausch's 8.59 ranks second in Conference USA.
