SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA indoor track & field program will officially open its 2018 campaign on Saturday, Jan. 13 at the Texas A&M-hosted Ted Nelson Invitational.

The event
The event, which will be contested at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station, starts Saturday at noon with the field events. The running prelims begin at 12:30 p.m., followed by the finals at 2 p.m. The distance medley relay and 5,000 meters will be run on Friday afternoon.
Last season both the Roadrunner men and women finished fifth at the event with scores of 65.5 and 39.5, respectively. The UTSA men claimed five podium finishes at the event and the women two.
The competition
UTSA will compete against Texas A&M along with Abilene Christian, Army, Clemson, Stephen F. Austin, UT Arlington and Texas State.
