SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will host the Maryb S. Kauth Invitational on Sunday-Tuesday, Oct. 22-24, at Briggs Ranch Golf Club (par 72/6,450 yards).

Previously known as The Alamo Invitational, the tournament is now in its ninth year and was renamed prior to the 2016 event to honor the late Maryb S. Kauth.

The Roadrunners, who appear at No. 40 in the latest Golfstat rankings, will welcome No. 3 and defending champion Arkansas, No. 31 Auburn, No. 24 Denver, No. 28 Houston, Kansas State, No. 34 Oklahoma, No. 38 Texas A&M and No. 30 Texas Tech to the Alamo City.

The field will play 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday followed by an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday. Live scoring will be provided online at http://bfire.co/-68c36/.

UTSA is coming off a record-setting performance at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The Roadrunners tied for third place with a 5-under-par 859 to break the previous school record for low 54-hole total of 860 set at the 2013 Alamo Invitational. UTSA also turned in a 7-under 281 in the final round, the lowest team round overall and versus par in program history. Madison Kidd was the top finisher with her first career top 10, as the sophomore tied for 10th with a personal-best 3-under 213 (72-69-72).

The Roadrunners tied with Auburn for seventh with a 9-over 873 at last year's Maryb S. Kauth Invitational. Aimee Ponte tied for 10th with a 2-under 214 to lead the Birds, while Julie Houston carded a 217 for 16th place.
