SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA women's golf team will continue its fall season on Friday-Sunday, Oct. 6-8, at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate at Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Golf Club (par 72/6,450 yards).
The Roadrunners will compete against Cal Poly, Denver, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Oregon State, Pepperdine, San Jose State, South Dakota State, Tulsa, Washington State and Wyoming. The field will play 18 holes each day and live scoring will be provided at https://www.birdiefire.com/tournament/41287/.
UTSA is coming off a fourth-place tie at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship on Sept. 18-19 in Knoxville, Tenn. Ana Gonzalez finished second with the lowest 54-hole scorecard in program history, an 8-under-par 205 (70-67-68), and was named Conference USA Golfer of the Week for her performance.
Gonzalez leads the Roadrunners with a 70.5 stroke average through two tournaments this fall, while Julie Houston ranks second with a 71.83 mark.
