Roadrunners finish competition at Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

AUSTIN — The UTSA women's track & field team wrapped up competition at this weekend's Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays on Saturday.

Chelsea Taylor, Jennifer Arinze, Sierra Andres and Paige Patterson placed fifth in the 1,600-meter relay with their time of 3:41.32. The quartet qualified for the final with its clocking of 3:40.96, which was good for third in Friday's preliminary heats.

De'Stini Henderson, Patterson, Arinze and Syd Howells raced to seventh place in the 800m relay with their time of 1:36.08.

Meanwhile, Howells just missed qualifying for a spot in the 100m final on Friday when she finished with the 10th-fastest prelims time, an 11.51, and that was a mere one-hundredth of a second shy of advancing.

UTSA will return to action next Saturday, April 8, at the Houston Alumni Invitational.
