UTSA to compete at this weekend's Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's track & field team will be back in action this weekend at the prestigious Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin. The four-day event got underway earlier today at Mike A. Myers Stadium, but the Roadrunners will not begin competition until Thursday.

The 90th edition of the meet will be the largest in its history with more than 7,700 athletes accepted. Nearly 800 high school teams and another 200 college squads will face off in what is expected to be another one of the top events in the country.

The meet once again has drawn a strong contingent from the Lone Star State, but it also has brought in athletes from around the globe. A total of 17 countries will be represented in addition to 37 states within the U.S.

Complete meet information can be found here. The majority of the meet can be seen on Longhorn Network and live results will be available here.

UTSA will have 18 entries — seven field, six running and five relays.

Through the first two meets of the outdoor season, the Roadrunners men have eight marks that rank among the top 25 nationally.

Leading the way is is Patrick Prince, who stands third in the country with his time of 13.88 in the 110-meter hurdles. Other Roadrunners in the top 10 include Adrian Riley in the decathlon (2nd/7,318 points) and Vasha Sheriff in the 400m (8th/46.45). In fact, Riley was tabbed Conference USA Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday following his career-best effort at last weekend's Roadrunners Invitational.
