NEW ORLEANS, La. — UTSA's women's cross country program was one of 242 teams that earned All-Academic accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday. The Roadrunners posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.14 last fall en route to the honor.
National Champion Oregon was tabbed the Scholar Team of the Year with its 3.42 GPA, while Georgia State reported the nation's highest GPA at 3.85.
To qualify, teams must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship meet.
