UTSA to continue indoor campaign at Saturday's Texas A&M Aggies Invitational

SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's track & field team will continue its indoor campaign at Saturday's Texas A&M Aggies Invitational. The one-day meet is scheduled to begin at noon at Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium and a rolling schedule of events will follow throughout the day (click here for the complete schedule).

The meet will feature athletes from Arizona State, Georgia, TCU, Texas Tech and UT Arlington in addition to the Roadrunners and host Aggies.

The Roadrunners recorded five-podium finishes at last Saturday's season-opening Texas A&M Team Invitational.

Kaylon Sellers led the way with his second-place performance in the triple jump. The sophomore from Beaumont skipped to a personal-record measurement of 48-4 ¾ (14.75m), a mark that now stands as the fourth-best performance in program history. It was Sellers' first action in two years, as he did not compete a year ago.

Meanwhile, Vasha Sheriff finished third in the 400 meters with a personal-best time of 47.75, which now ranks as the fifth-fastest performance in school annals. The clocking currently leads Conference USA in the early going this season while standing 16th nationally.
