SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head women's golf coach Carrie Parnaby announced Wednesday that the program has signed Ana Gonzalez (Monterrey, Mexico) to a National Letter of Intent. She will join the Roadrunners for the 2017-18 season.
"We look forward to Ana joining our team next fall," Parnaby said. "She comes from a great family and will represent UTSA with class. Ana will fit in very well with our team and we feel like she has the ability to immediately compete with the top of our lineup. She has international experience and has played golf at the highest level. We can't wait for her to get here."
Gonzalez is a two-time gold medalist in the Mexico National Olympics and a three-time National Mexican Cup winner. She tied for seventh at the 2016 Mexican National Amateur and has been ranked in the top five players in her native country since 2013.
