CONCORD, N.C. — Emily Voss led the UTSA women's cross country team for the second time this season at Saturday's Conference USA Championships.
Voss covered the 5,000-meter Frank Liske Park trail in 18:46.6 en route to placing 39th in the field of 99 runners and it marked the second time in the Roadrunners' past three outings that the sophomore from Katy paced the squad.
"I felt strong and prepared for today's race," Voss said. "This race is where we really needed to step up and do our best. The course was competitive and fast and being able to lead the team today felt great."

"This was a competitive day for the team," Abundis said. "We gave it our complete energy and raced strong. I'm excited to see how far we can go as we keep growing as a team."
