The Roadrunners will send six players to the event, as junior Sonia Madroñal Medina, sophomore Charlene Tiwari and the freshman quartet of Laura Cabrera, Denisa Ibrahimovic, Kylee Kato and Diya Menon will see action. They will compete against players from Incarnate Word, Lamar, Northwestern State, Rice Sam Houston State, Texas, Texas-Rio Grande Valley in addition to tournament host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
UTSA welcomes back four returnees from last year's 10-win squad and four newcomers, all freshmen, make up the remainder of the eight-player team this season.
Leading the way is three-time All-Conference USA selection Miriam Rosell Canudas, who ranked second on the club with 10 singles victories last spring and all 17 of her decisions came at the top of the lineup. The senior from Torello, Spain, played all 22 of her contests at the No. 1 position.
Also back this year is senior Lina Hallgren, who posted a 9-5 record in singles play and won another seven matches in doubles action with Tiwari.
