Under the direction of ninth-year head coach Carrie Parnaby, who played collegiate at Tennessee, UTSA welcomes back five letter winners from last year's squad that registered five top-five finishes, including the Islanders Classic team title.

2016 Conference USA Freshman of the Year and second-team all-conference performer Julie Houston and junior Nikki Long, also a second-team all-league selection, lead the list of returnees. That group also includes Becky McGeehan, Aimee Ponte and Lara Weinstein, and they will team up with a pair of freshmen in Madison Kidd and Brooke Meads.

The Roadrunners last competed in the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships in 2013, when Fabiola Arriaga and Taylor Newlin tied for 39th to lead UTSA to 14th.
