Women’s golf releases 2016-17 schedule

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head coach Carrie Parnaby announced her program's 2016-17 schedule on Wednesday. The slate is highlighted by trips to five different states and Mexico, along with hosting The Alamo Invitational.

The Roadrunners will tee off their ninth season under Parnaby from Sept. 12-13 when they travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to compete at the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship.

UTSA will continue its fall slate from Oct. 9-10 at the Jim West Challenge in Houston.

Now in its eighth year, the Roadrunners will host The Alamo Invitational from Oct. 23-25 at Briggs Ranch Golf Club before closing out the fall from Nov. 7-8 at the Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas.

The spring season will get underway from Feb. 19-21 at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate at English Turn Country Club in New Orleans, La., followed by the inaugural The Dickson from Feb. 27-28 at The Woodlands Country Club.

UTSA will return to the BYU at Entrada Classic for the second consecutive year from March 13-14 in St. George, Utah, and then make its second trip to Louisiana, this time for the LSU Tigers Classic from March 24-26 in Baton Rouge.

The Roadrunners then will make their first international trip when they travel to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, for the Hawkeyes El Tigre Invitational from April 2-4.

The Conference USA Championship is scheduled to be played from April 18-20 at Verandah Club in Fort Myers, Fla.

The NCAA Regionals will be held from May 8-10 at four different sites across the country, while the NCAA Championship is slated for May 19-24 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
