No. 22 Florida Atlantic blanks Roadrunners on Sunday, 4-0

SAN ANTONIO — Kylee Hanson tossed her second no-hitter of the season to lead No. 22 Florida Atlantic to a 4-0 victory at UTSA on Sunday afternoon at Roadrunner Field in the regular-season finale for both squads.

The Roadrunners (20-32, 11-13 C-USA) will open play at the Conference USA Tournament as the No. 8 seed and will face fifth-seeded Marshall (29-25, 13-11 C-USA) at noon on Wednesday, March 11, in Denton. The winner of that contest will advance to face fourth-seeded Louisiana Tech (31-19, 12-8 C-USA) at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Chelsea Parker allowed just one earned run over seven innings in Sunday's loss with a pair of strikeouts to lead UTSA.

Meanwhile, Hanson hit a pair of batters and issued a walk while striking out 15 to improve to 26-3 on the season and a perfect 16-0 in C-USA action.

After a 29-minute rain delay, the Owls got on the board in the top of the first with two runs behind three Roadrunners errors. The advantage grew to 3-0 with another unearned run in the third before a final run in the seventh to provide the 4-0 final.

Following the contest, UTSA honored its senior class of Lindsie Knowles, Jade Smith and Tess Soefje as part of Senior Day festivities.
