UTSA concludes competition at NCAA Championships Preliminary Rounds

LAWRENCE, Kan. — UTSA's men's track & field team wrapped up competition on Saturday at this weekend's NCAA Championships Preliminary Rounds.

The 110-meter hurdles tandem of Patrick Prince and Justin Gerbrecht were unable to advance to the next round.

Prince clocked a 14.12 en route to 26th place in the field of 48 quarterfinalists, while Gerbrecht crossed the finish line in 14.33, which was good for 31st place.

The Roadrunners' other competitor of the day, Kelsey Benoit, did not record a mark after fouling in all three of his attempts in the shot put.

UTSA will be back in action in two weeks when high jumper Ty Anderson competes at 7 p.m. (CT) on Friday, June 10, at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.
