Roadrunners conclude competition on Saturday at Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

AUSTIN — Dusan Makevic raced to fourth place in Saturday's Jerry Thompson Mile to highlight UTSA's final day of action at this weekend's Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.

Makevic crossed the finish line in 4:02.16 in just missing a podium finish in the featured middle distance event that featured 13 athletes. UTEP's Jonah Koech won the gold medal in 4:00.82, while Texas' Alex Rogers (4:01.11) and North Texas' Bryce McAndrew (4:01.28) rounded out the top three.

Meanwhile, Patrick Prince registered a personal best for the second consecutive day in the 110-meter hurdles. Prince skimmed the barriers in a wind-aided 14.03, which was good for seventh in the nine-man final. The freshman from Conroe now has recorded PRs in each of his last three races since opening his career with a windy 14:19 at the season-opening UTSA Invitational. He currently ranks second on the Conference USA leaderboard.

The Roadrunners' other competitor of the day, Kelsey Benoit, placed 12th in the shot put with a measurement of 54-8 (16.66m).

UTSA will return home next weekend to host the Roadrunners Invitational. The two-day meet is scheduled to get underway on Friday, April 8, at Park West Athletics Complex.
