AUSTIN — UTSA's 1,600-meter relay posted the second-fastest qualifying time on Friday to highlight the Roadrunners' second day of action at this weekend's Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
The quartet of Jennifer Arinze, Shantel Swift, Evelyn Clark and Paige Patterson passed the baton in 3:43.58 en route to winning the third of five preliminary heats and that only was behind the 3:39.88 clocked by Purdue. It marked the foursome's third consecutive top-three finish to open the season. Saturday's final is scheduled to be contested at 4:40 p.m.
The meet will conclude on Saurday.
