IRVING — A total of 604 student-athletes earned Conference USA Academic Medals during the 2015-16 academic year, Commissioner Judy MacLeod announced on Wednesday. Medals are awarded to those student-athletes that have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
Marshall had the most honorees with 59 in conference-sponsored sports, while North Texas placed second with 49 and Middle Tennessee was third with 46.
UTSA had 35 award winners with soccer leading the way with five.
