DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The UTSA Cheer squad had a pair of perfect routines for the first time in its history and the coed group finished in second place at last weekend's annual National Cheerleaders Association College Nationals.
In Thursday's preliminaries, the Roadrunners had two dropped stunts and they were seeded sixth going into the finals. UTSA then hit a perfect, zero-deduction routine the following afternoon en route to placing second out of 12 teams.
On Saturday, the group stunt team also hit a zero-deduction routine and placed seventh.
