LAS VEGAS, Nev. — UTSA got back to its winning ways on Sunday with a 4-0 victory against Southern Utah.
The Roadrunners (7-8) ended a two-match losing streak by sweeping through singles play with four consecutive wins, all in straight sets.
Lina Hallgren won her eighth contest of the spring with a 6-1, 6-0 triumph against Emily Lemmon at the fifth spot in the lineup.
Jacobea Junger then picked up her team-leading ninth victory with a 6-1, 6-1 decision against Evgenia Marushko on court two.
Alena Shichkova downed Teresa Schmidt by scores of 6-0, 6-2 at the third spot and Nicole Karaklis cllnched the victory with her 6-1, 6-2 win against Charity Sagiao on the sixth court.
UTSA will return home next Friday, March 11, to face I-35 rival Texas State (4-8) at 4 p.m.
