SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men’s track & field team will open its indoor campaign on Saturday at the Texas A&M 11-Team Invitational. The one-day meet will be contested at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium in College Station.
Action will begin with the high jump at noon and a rolling schedule of events will follow throughout the day. Running events are scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. with the 60 meters preliminary heats.
Athletes from Abilene Christian, Baylor, BYU, Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Stephen F. Austin, TCU, Texas and Texas State will compete with the Roadrunners and meet host Texas A&M.
UTSA welcomes back 15 returning letterwinners from last year’s squad that finished second at the Conference USA Championships and 22 newcomers also highlight the roster for 14th-year head coach Aaron Fox.
Friday will mark the first of four outings leading up to this year's league meet, which is scheduled for Feb. 24-25 in Birmingham, Ala.
