SAN ANTONIO — UTSA heads into the home stretch of the regular season this week when it begins a three-match home stand beginning with a 6 p.m. contest against Rice on Wednesday.

After a perfect week last week, UTSA (18-7, 9-2 C-USA) held onto its second place spot in the standings as two weeks remain in the regular season. Dajana Boskovic and Gonzales continue their impressive streaks as they repeated as C-USA Offensive and Freshman Players of the Week.
Boskovic registered a career-best 29 kills at Florida Atlantic and is averaging 4.26 kills per set, which ranks 24th in the nation. Meanwhile, Gonzales matched a season-best 49 assists at FAU and followed that with another 41 at FIU.
In league-only matches, the Roadrunners are hitting a .267 clip and holding opponents to a league-best .150 hitting percentage. UTSA also tops the circuit in service aces with 1.49 per frame.
