AUSTIN — Kerstin Sheenhan produced her third consecutive top-10 finish and she paced UTSA with a ninth-place showing at Friday's Longhorns Invitational.
Sheehan completed the 5,000-meter Balcones-Spicewood Cross Country Course in 19:07.3, while Yulisa Abundis (19.36.6) and Grace Kohler (19:50.4) placed 19th and 26th, respectively. Emily Perez (33rd/20:12.9) and Lauren Haney (34th/20:14.3) rounded out UTSA's scoring contingent.
Meet host Texas easily won the team title with 23 points, as Sandie Raines captured the individual title in 18:18.
The Roadrunners scored 116 points, which was good for fourth in the field of seven squads.
UTSA will return to the course in two weeks at the Broncos Invitational in Sunnyvale, Calif. The meet is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. (CT) on Saturday, Oct. 17.
