SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will continue its fall campaign this weekend when it travels to Houston for the Rice Invitational. The three-day tournament is scheduled to begin on Friday morning at the George R. Brown Tennis Center.
There will be four flights of singles play and two separate doubles draws and six Roadrunners — Lina Hallgren, Meredith Hopson, Jacobea Junger, Nicole Karaklis, Miriam Rosell Canudas and Charleen Tiwari — will participate in both singles and doubles action against players from Baylor, Houston, New Mexico State, Rice, Sam Houston State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas, Texas State and UT Arlington.
This weekend marks the third outing of the fall for UTSA, as they opened the season two weeks ago at the Marco & Co. Catering Islanders Open in Corpus Christi before playing at last weekend's local St. Mary's Quad.
