SAN ANTONIO — Fresh off capturing last weekend's Bearkats Invitational title, UTSA will continue its season-opening seven-match road swing in San Marcos this weekend at the Delta Zeta Classic. The Roadrunners will take on tournament host and I-35 rival Texas State at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday before squaring off with Indiana (3 p.m.) and Texas Southern (2 p.m.) the following two days.

UTSA notched wins against Montana State, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State and Tulane en route to its perfect opening weekend. Kylie Schott was tabbed the event's Most Valuable Player and named Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. Dajana Boskovic and Jessica Waldrip joined Schott on the all-tournament team.

Boskovic paced the squad with 5.27 kills per set (58) and added a .328 hitting percentage, while Schott added 2.15 kills per frame to go along with a .532 attack percentage and 1.23 blocks per set.

Texas State heads into the weekend with a 0-3 overall record. The last time UTSA last posted a win against the Bobcats on Sept. 21, 2012 in San Antonio when the Roadrunners won in three sets.

The Roadrunners will be squaring off with Indiana for the first time in program history and they own an 8-0 all-time record against the Texas Southern.
