SAN ANTONIO — UTSA head football coach Larry Coker announced Monday that Austin Pratt has signed a financial aid agreement to join his program beginning this fall.
Pratt, who will be a sophomore with three years of eligibility remaining, is a 6-foot-3, 300-pound center who has spent the last two seasons at Blinn (Texas) Junior College.
After redshirting the 2013 campaign, the Sealy native saw action in all eight games at each of the three offensive line positions for the Buccaneers last fall.
A graduate of Sealy High School, Pratt earned first-team all-district accolades his final two prep seasons. He also played basketball and participated in track & field during his high school career.
UTSA will kick off the 2015 season on Thursday, Sept. 3, at Arizona. The third all-time meeting between the two programs is scheduled for 9 p.m. (CT) and it will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks.
