WACO — Tomas Stillman saw his senior season come to an end in a two-set setback to Soren Hess-Olesen of Texas at the NCAA Tournament Singles Round of 64, which was played on Wednesday at the Hurd Tennis Center.
Stillman dropped the opening set, 6-1, to the No. 6 national-seeded and fourth-ranked Longhorn and then fell by a 6-2 count in the second frame to cap his final campaign with a 34-7 overall record.
The Harlingen native was 20-3 in dual matches this year and ranked 70th nationally by the ITA after helping lead the Roadrunners to the Conference USA Championship last month. The C-USA Player of the Year finished his two-year UTSA career with a 41-5 dual-match ledger.
