NEW ORLEANS, La. — UTSA's women's cross country program was one of 226 teams that earned All-Academic accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday. The Roadrunners posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.29 last fall en route to the honor.
Michigan State was tabbed the Scholar Team of the Year, while South Carolina reported the nation’s highest GPA at 3.79.
To qualify, teams must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship meet.
