SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will take to the road once again for a pair of games this week beginning with a 6:30 p.m. (CT) contest on Thursday at FIU.
The Roadrunners (10-10, 4-5 C-USA) feature four of the top 25 scorers in Conference USA and will enter Thursday's game averaging 71.4 ppg, which ranks fourth in the circuit. Jeromie Hill's 17.0 ppg rank third in the league, while his 19.3 ppg in C-USA action rank second. He is coming off a pair of double-doubles last week, including 18 points and a season-high 12 rebounds in UTSA's victory against Middle Tennessee.
Meanwhile, the Panthers (11-10, 4-4 C-USA) will be playing their second game in three nights. FIU defeated Florida Atlantic, 64-56, on Tuesday night to improve to 5-1 at home. Thursday's matchup will showcase another of the league's top scorer's in Dennis Mavin, who ranks second in C-USA with 17.5 points per game, while his 19.6 in conference play rank first.
UTSA and FIU have split their two previous meetings with the Panthers taking an 80-72 decision last season in San Antonio.
