UTSA to head south for final non-conference matchup of season

SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will head south and face Texas-Pan American at 7 p.m. on Monday night in its final non-conference game of the season.

The Roadrunners (7-7) are coming off a 1-1 week that included the program's 500th victory with a triumph over Southern Miss on Jan. 8. In Saturday's setback against league-leading Louisiana Tech, senior Jeromie Hill scored a season-high 24 points, while Kaj-Björn Sherman neared a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Broncs (7-9) are coming off a win over Chicago State to open Western Athletic Conference play. Texas-Pan American is paced by Janari Joesaar's 19.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game, both of which are tops in the WAC.

The teams will be meeting for the second time this season. Texas-Pan American took the first contest, 63-62, on Nov. 17 in San Antonio as part of the squad's 3-0 start to the campaign. UTSA leads the series overall, 12-10, including a 6-4 mark in Edinburg.
