Women's basketball inks three players to National Letters of Intent

SAN ANTONIO — Head women’s basketball coach Luboymyr Lichonczak announced Tuesday that Sara Anastasieska, Alexus Dukes and Kasia Kiejdrowska all have signed National Letters of Intent to join his program for the 2015-16 season.

Sara Anastasieska
A 5-foot-11 guard from New South Wales, Australia, who played on the Under-17 Australian National Team. She also competed for the Northern Suburbs Basketball Association, where she helped lead her team to an undefeated mark and averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds per game. She was recently named to the Under-20 Team and selected to represent New South Wales in 2015. Recognized as the Monte Sant Angelo Mercy College Senior Player of the Year for 2014.

Alexus Dukes
Hails from the Lone Star State and is a 5-foot-5 guard from Harker Heights, Texas. Dukes, a three-year starter, is a first-team all-state and first-team All-State Under Sports/District selection. She also was tabbed District 12-5A Newcomer of the Year in 2011.

Kasia Kiejdrowska
A 6-foot forward who is in her second season at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, Mo. The Poland native was second in the nation with an 89 percent free throw percentage during the 2013-14 season. Averaged 10 points per game in her first season on a team that finished 17-12.
