SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will head north for a Tuesday night matchup at UT Arlington. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the College Park Center.
The Roadrunners (3-2) head to the Metroplex following Sunday's 57-31 victory against Incarnate Word at their annual Thanksgiving Classic. UTSA went 1-1 over the weekend with a 69-61 loss to Drake on Friday night.
Kamra King leads the Birds with 13.6 points a night and she has dished out 10 assists to go along with 10 steals.
UT Arlington (3-1) leads the all-time series, 30-27, but UTSA has won 10 of the last 11 meetings, including a 74-56 victory last Nov. 17 in the Alamo City. King netted a team-high 17 points on 10-of-12 shooting from the free throw line and 3-of-5 from the field. All 11 Roadrunners scored in the win and grabbed at least one board.
The Mavericks have yet to lose a game at home this season and their only loss this season came at the hands of Wichita State in a 71-61 setback.
Four UTA players are averaging double figures with Rebekah Van Dijk checking in at 14.8 points and 11.3 rebounds per outing. The Mavericks are averaging 78.5 points a night and yielding only 59.5, which ranks third in the Sun Belt Conference.
