SAN ANTONIO – UTSA will open its home slate on Wednesday night when it welcomes Abilene Christian to the Convocation Center for a 7 p.m tilt.
The Roadrunners (0-1) will look to bounce back from Saturday's season-opening 68-48 loss at No. 9 Texas. Freshman Carlie Heineman scored a game-high 15 points to pace the Roadrunners. UTSA made a comeback late in the second half with a 17-4 run to pull to within three, but the Longhorns woke up from their cold spell and pulled away for the 20-point victory.
Abilene Christian (2-0) opened the season with a 91-64 win against Wayland Baptist and followed that with a 102-60 win over Howard Payne.
UTSA defeated the Wildcats by a score of 63-58 last year at the Convocation Center in the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
