FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Mike Medrano finished as UTSA's top finisher for the sixth time this season and the Roadrunners placed 20th at Friday's NCAA South Central Regional.
Medrano covered the 10,000-meter Agri Park course in 31:03.2 en route to a 42nd-place performance and the senior from Mission led UTSA at all six meets this fall.
Harvinder Singh (115th/32.40.9), Javier Salas (117th/32:47.6), Tony Jaramillo (126th/33:04.6) and Alex Cruz (127th/33:05.5) made up the remainder of the Roadrunners' scoring contingent that accounted for 519 points.
Arkansas, led by individual champion Stanley Kebenei (29:08.1), won the event with 42 points, while Texas was second with 51. Both teams advanced to next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.
