FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Stephanie Wangui finished as UTSA's top finisher for the fifth time this season and the Roadrunners placed 14th at Friday's NCAA South Central Regional.

Wangui covered the 6,000-meter Agri Park course in 21:24.5 en route to a 29th-place performance and the senior from Leander just missed all-region honors.

Emily Perez (43rd/21.38.9), Kerstin Sheehan (105th/23:14.9), Grace Kohler (110th/23:23.7) and Brianna Mendiola (122th/23:50.6) made up the remainder of the Roadrunners' scoring contingent that accounted for 380 points.

Arkansas, led by individual champion Stanley Kebenei (19:43.8), won the event with 29 points, while Baylor was second with 82. Both teams advanced to next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Terre Haute, Ind.
