Hogan collects second Conference USA Player of the Week award on Wednesday

IRVING — Brett Hogan was named Conference USA Player of the Week for the second time this month, the league office announced on Wednesday.

Hogan fired an 11-under-par 205 (67-72-66) to break the UTSA record for low 54-hole total to par and finish eighth at Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational on Oct. 24-26 in El Paso. The junior from Calgary, Alberta, native opened with a 67 and finished with a career-best 66 that was highlighted by a pair of eagles on par fours. It marked his third top-10 finish of the fall and the fifth of his career. Hogan’s performance helped the Roadrunners place fifth with a school-record 28-under 836, which included a program-best 21-under 267 in the opening round.

Hogan also collected the C-USA weekly award on Oct. 15 after finishing third to help lead the Roadrunners to the runner-up spot at the Miramont Invitational. He leads the squad with a 71.15 stroke average this fall.

Hogan and the Roadrunners will open their spring season by hosting the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational from Feb. 9-10 at Oak Hills Country Club.
