UTSA to auction game-worn football jerseys from New Mexico contest

SAN ANTONIO — The Roadrunner Athletic Fund will hold an auction for 108 game-worn jerseys that UTSA will wear for Saturday's home contest against New Mexico, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Alamodome.

The auction will be conducted online only at goUTSA.com/auction and it will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Jersey Nos. 1-24 will be up for auction from Oct. 4-13, Nos. 25-60 are scheduled for Oct. 13-20 and Nos. 61-99 are slated for Oct. 20-27. All proceeds will benefit the UTSA football program.

The adidas-made, lead-colored jerseys are the first alternate jersey UTSA has worn in its four-year history and also are the first that display "Roadrunners" on the chest. The jerseys are intended to be displayed rather than worn, as they do not fit an adult like a replica jersey does. Due to NCAA bylaws, the student-athletes' nameplates will be removed following the game.

Please call (210) 458-4665 for more information about the auction.

The Roadrunner Athletic Fund supports the more than 350 student-athletes in 17 sports at UTSA for scholarships, team operations and facilities. Every dollar raised is invested back into the programs.
